Work Life Balance

Creating a mentally healthy workplace is a journey. Developing skills and shifting mindsets require ongoing reinforcement, and the mental health learning pathway can enhance awareness and retention, keeping it top of mind for months or even years.

Description

Balance is often thought of as an even distribution of weight that allows someone or something to remain upright and steady. Whether taken literally or figuratively, this definition doesn’t imply that all parts of the whole must be equally distributed.

Given the unpredictable nature of life and its changes, we must learn to be fluid, dynamic, and adaptable. This sometimes requires shifting our priorities and energy from one domain to another, emphasising certain aspects over others as needed.

Thus, living intentionally out of balance can be purposeful. For example, there might be times when focusing intensely on a critical project necessitates temporarily diverting attention from social activities. Similarly, if we experience a setback, prioritising recovery may take precedence over work.

This session aims to help attendees reframe and refine their values and goals, fostering psychological flexibility. By doing so, overwhelming tasks become more manageable, and we can navigate our lives with calmness and intentionality.
