Breakdown:
Virtual version: Lecture (40%), Interactive discussions (45%), Video (15%)

The workshop is for all employees and managers in any organization. Society has evolved and it is now important to promote diversity and inclusion in order for our organizations to be innovative and successful.

The workshop begins with a survey of participants’ level of knowledge about diversity, equity and inclusion. An icebreaker activity encourages people to think about situations of exclusion that they might have experienced themselves. The concept of diversity is introduced and a group discussion on the different aspects of diversity helps to understand its complexity. The participants watch a video in which a well-known personality testifies to having been a victim of discrimination. The factors that explain discrimination are presented and the viewing of a video completes this section. A brainstorming activity leads participants to understand what inclusivity is and what behaviours to adopt. Afterwards, participants develop their action plan to promote diversity in their workplace. In conclusion, a summary of the main concepts is made and a survey allows participants to measure their learning.
