We know from the research that working parents are time poor, stressed and have little time for self-care. A Recent TELUS Health Research Brief on the Mental Health of Working Parents revealed that 53% of working parents end their workday physically and or mentally exhausted. This is not surprising given that employees with caring responsibilities are juggling the many demands of work and family life and self-care is often the first thing to go when working parents have limited time.
However, people leaders understand that when employees don’t take care of themselves it has a negative impact on their physical and mental wellbeing, their family life and work performance.
In this session, employees learn the many benefits of self-care for personal wellbeing, family wellbeing and workplace wellbeing. Workplace programs that support working parents and their families to thrive, nurture a family-friendly workplace culture.
