Description

The increasing complexity and uncertainty in the world, the rise in bullying as well as the negative impact of screentime and social media, are only some of the many stressful challenges which have taken a toll on their wellbeing of children and adolescents. Mental health professionals are concerned about the long-term impact on child and family wellbeing with the rising statistics on children experiencing anxiety, depression and other mental health issues.

For employees with caring responsibilities managing work and family effectively can be hampered when working parents need to support their children experiencing mental health challenges. Children feeling anxious from time to time when challenges arise is a natural part of life. However, if anxiety persists or becomes overwhelming it can interfere with a child being able to socialise with friends, focus on school and simply enjoy life.

Resourcing employees reduces parental stress so they can succeed at home and be more focussed and productive at work. Workplace programs that support working parents and their families to thrive, nurture a family-friendly workplace culture.
