This session is designed for parents in the emergency services including Police, Ambulance, Fire and Rescue. For working parents, spending quality time with their partner and children is important for employee wellbeing and for developing close bonds as a family. However, this is particularly challenging for first responders when their roles require them to go into dangerous situations, work shifts, experience changing timetables with shift rotations, be on call and even work overtime.
Not having a clear routine can be confusing and upsetting for children and have a negative impact on employee and family mental health and general wellbeing. Furthermore, the potential dangers in the role can leave children fearful for their parent’s safety.
When employees succeed at home, they are more focussed and productive at work. Workplace programs that support working parents and their families to thrive, nurture a family-friendly workplace culture.
Designed for working parents and carers raising children aged toddler to teenager.
